Choosing the right liveaboard lifestyle

There are two main liveaboard styles: continuous cruising or residential mooring.
Each has its pros and cons.

Continuous cruising:

  • Usually requires you to move on a regular basis and make a genuine journey.
  • Great for adventure, scenery, and spontaneity.
  • Logistics are trickier: post, doctors appointments, fuel and water stops all need planning.

Residential mooring:

  • Offers stability, community, and potential for a garden.
  • Often includes access to facilities like electricity, post, and parking.
  • Limited availability and sometimes pricey (especially in popular spots).
