Boats of various sizes and types sailing on a body of water with people engaging in different activities on board.

For the third consecutive year,  Haven Knox-Johnston proudly sponsored The Yacht Harbour Association Marina Awards, celebrating the very best marinas from the UK and around the world. These awards recognise outstanding marinas that provide exceptional customer service and experiences for both berth holders and visiting boat owners.

This year’s ceremony, held on the Boating Academy Stage at Southampton International Boat Show, was standing room only, bringing together representatives from many of the 200-plus Gold Anchor-accredited marinas from around the world, eager to find out who would walk away with one of these prestigious titles.

The event was co-hosted by TYHA Chairman, Jonathon Dyke, Paul Knox-Johnston, Sales & Marketing Manager at Haven Knox-Johnston, and TYHA General Manager, Jon White. Together, they celebrated the winning marina’s who have demonstrated excellence in customer service, facilities, environmental responsibility, and the people who make marinas the welcoming hubs they are for boaters everywhere.

The trophy

A prestigious accolade calls for a truly exceptional trophy — and once again, the honour of designing it was entrusted to Jo Munford of Seaview Studio. Jo is a celebrated artist known for her distinctive stained-glass work, often inspired by her deep ties to the marine world.

Working from her studio in Hampshire, Jo crafts striking sculptures, panels, and wall art that blend glass, metal, and naturally foraged wood. Her creations are as much about storytelling as they are about craftsmanship. For this award, Jo produced a series of beautifully fused-glass trophies, each one individually handmade and rich with character — a perfect reflection of the achievement they represent.
