Supporting biodiversity across the marina network

Haven Knox‑Johnston is proud to be supporting Aquavista in Bloom 2026, as the much‑loved competition returns for its fourth year with a renewed focus on biodiversity and supporting local wildlife.

Aquavista’s network of 33 inland and coastal marinas will once again be Growing Wild, with marina teams and customers coming together to transform their sites into vibrant, nature‑rich spaces bursting with colour – and buzzing with life.

This year’s competition continues to champion biodiverse, pollinator‑friendly environments, encouraging every marina to create displays that do more than look good. From wildflower borders to bee‑friendly planters, Aquavista in Bloom highlights the important role marinas can play as thriving pockets of biodiversity.

As official sponsor for 2026, Haven KJ has provided lavender seeds and handmade bee‑watering bowls to every marina – practical tools designed to nurture pollinators and build on last year’s success in creating habitats for bees, butterflies and other vital species. And once all the hard work is done, they’ll be able to enjoy a nice up of tea on us!

There are four award categories for 2026, with regional winners across the North, South and Midlands, plus one overall national winner:

Outstanding Overall Site – North, South & Midlands
Outstanding Tubs and Hanging Baskets -North, South & Midlands
Outstanding Creative Display – North, South & Midlands
Community Engagement Award – North, South & Midlands

Many of this year’s displays will be grown from seeds carefully collected and stored by marina teams over the autumn and winter — a reflection of the long‑term commitment across the Aquavista network to sustainable gardening and environmental stewardship.

Last year’s regional winners included Poplar Waterside & Marina in the South, Kings Bromley in the Midlands, and Kings in the North. 2026 also sees the return of the national Outstanding Overall Site award, alongside the new Community Engagement Award, recognising marinas that go the extra mile to bring people together through gardening and shared environmental effort.

Aquavista in Bloom 2026 launched on 23 April, with award submissions due by 30 June. Winners will be announced at a celebration event in July.
