Haven KJ on Tour:
Summer 2024

All boat types HKJ

The Boat Show season came to an end in September with the Southampton International Boat Show, but with a full roster of shows and events over the summer, the HKJ crew were kept busy. So let’s find out what the crew got up to:

Aqueduct Marina Boating Event
13th July

Our boat show veterans, Paul KJ and Kelly were once again keeping themselves busy at the Aqueduct Boating Event sponsored by Haven Knox-Johnston. They met with customers old and new, and made a few furry friends along the way, who were keen to try on one of our HKJ doggy bandanas.

Thames Traditional Boat Festival
19th – 21st July

It was a glorious weekend in Henley-on-Thames at the Traditional Boat Festival. We partnered up with our trusted and loyal introducers, Tingdene Marinas & Boat Sales, and hosted our first ‘Guess the length of Buddy’s rope’ competition. With an array of boats on display, it was a feast for the eyes and it was a perfect opportunity to catch up with our very good friends at Bray Marine and Val Wyatt, as well as chatting to clients and visitors.

Dartmouth Regatta Sailing Week
29th – 31st August

After a Summer which had, to say the least, been a little sub-optimal, the intrepid crew from “Haven KJ Enigma” ventured down to the beautiful port of Dartmouth in late August to take part in the 179th Dartmouth Regatta under blue skies and glorious sunshine. Great weather combined with really close racing made for an awesome week with “Haven KJ Enigma” coming in an impressive 3rd in class with a reduced crew. Southampton International Boat Show
13th – 22nd September

We had an incredible time at the 55th Southampton Boat Show! We were proud to exhibit on the TYHA ‘Find a Marina’ stand and sponsor the prestigious TYHA Marina Awards once again. It was fantastic to connect with so many boating enthusiasts and industry professionals. We’d also like to acknowledge Paul KJ’s involvement on the Foredeck Stage, as a regular panellist on the How to Buy a Boat segments, providing guidance and advice on purchasing a boat.

We had the pleasure of hosting a spectacular post-show event for our broker partners, introducers and invited guests, at Stein Garten Southampton. Everyone indulged in delicious bratwursts and enjoyed a drink or two! It was a fantastic night filled with networking, good vibes, and lots of fun!

TYHA Marina Awards 2024
18th September

For the second year, Haven Knox-Johnston sponsored The Yacht Harbour Association Marina (TYHA) Awards, which celebrate excellence in marinas globally. These awards recognize marinas that provide exceptional customer service and experiences. The ceremony, held at the Southampton International Boat Show, was co-hosted by industry leaders, including our very own Paul Knox-Johnston, and attended by representatives from many of the 200 Gold Anchor accredited marinas. The event celebrated the achievements of outstanding marinas and was a key highlight of the boat show. Congratulations to our incredible winners of the TYHA Marina Awards 2024!

Stay tuned for more events that we’ll be attending throughout 2025!
