Help us go greener

Antarctica and Greenland are now losing ice six times faster than in the 1990s (source IMBIE). This is one of thousands of pieces of the climate change puzzle which we are all responsible for.

As you might have guessed, we love Penguins! The much-loved Penguin mascot has been part of our Haven K-J brand since the early 90s and we know they are particularly sensitive to climate change as any rise in sea temperature will in turn affect their supply of food and lifestyle. Hangry penguins are bad news for everybody! You can check out how much we have raised to date above.

How can you help us?

We currently send out in excess of 250,000 (yes, you read that correct, over a quarter of a million!) printed pages each year. We know that for some of you, having a printed copy of your policy documents is important, but for many, they end up in a dark drawer, to only see the light of day in 10 years time when it is then an antique relic!

So, to help protect the penguins, from 1st July 2021 we will send out all of your insurance documents to you by email (unless you have a burning desire for the postie to visit with your annual HK-J documents). So you don’t need to search through your emails to find your policy documents, we also keep them on our website so you can easily find them.

What do you need to do?

If you don’t already receive your documents by email, please opt in. All we need from you is your full name, first line of your address and preferred email address so we can make sure we’re emailing your all important documents to the right person!

To say thank you to you all for helping us to go greener, we’ll put £1 into sponsoring penguins through the WWF adoption scheme for each person who makes the switch and goes paper free in 2021*. If you want to adopt your own penguin, have a look here:
