Q: When did you join Haven Knox-Johnston?

A: 2013

Q: What’s the best bit of the job for you?

A: The crew at Haven Knox-Johnston.

Q: What sort of boat do/did you own/sail?

A: A Hunter Sonata and a Sigma 33.

Q: How did you get into sailing?

A: Through Haven Knox-Johnston. Less than a year after starting at HK-J, I found myself at the start line on a Hunter Sonata. I haven’t looked back since.

Q: What’s been your greatest sailing experience?

A: Racing across the North Sea, gusting 40kts, raining sideways as part of the EAORA Series.

Q: Got any future sailing ambitions?

A: Yes, far too many to list.

Q: Where would you say is the best place to have fun on the water? Canoeing in Kent? Banana-boating in Benidorm?

A: Anywhere! From a lazy weekend exploring the Norfolk Broads on a boat older than time, to catching a tan on an RS Elite in the Caribbean. It’s the people that make it fun.

Q: What’s your favourite boat-related film, book or song, and why?

A: Captain Ron. Why, Martin Short and Kurt Russel.

Q: And finally… what’s your favourite riverside pub?!

A: The Swan Inn, Horning.
