Biomedical Engineering at the University of Glasgow.

I used to compete on the national and international circuit in the ILCA 6 but have recently shifted to the RS200. This year, I’ve dipped my toes into some “big boats” with the British Keelboat Academy.

Most of my summers were spent on the west coast of Scotland on my grandpa’s wooden yacht.

Do you have a role model/inspirational person that you follow? If so, why do you find them inspirational?

I don’t have one specific person… I am inspired by the motivation and dedication shown by all female athletes in competitive sport

What would be your best advice or top tips for younger sailors or new sailors?

Just to get stuck in and take every opportunity you get!

Tell us something about you that no one else knows (the more unusual the better!)

I can play the saxophone.

What’s your superpower?

I am a friendly and upbeat person! I have a talent for boosting morale and promoting a positive, collaborative atmosphere.

What bit of sailing kit can you not live without? And why? (clothing/gadget/etc)

My cap – It keeps the sun off my face but, most importantly, the rain out my eyes!

What’s your ultimate dream? (this can be sailing or non-sailing)

To build a sailing career that allows me to explore the world, whether it be through my own racing or as a coach.
