Q: When did you join Haven Knox-Johnston? (you can add your previous years with us, and that you missed us so much you came back!

A: In July 2022

Q: What’s the best bit of the job for you?

A:. Talking to and helping our amazing customers and going to boat shows of course (who doesn’t love a boat show)

Q: What sort of boat do/did you own/sail?

A: While I tend to stick to the land with being a racing driver, I have driven a fair share of boats in America with my family from relaxing pontoons to thrilling speedboats.

Q: How did you get into sailing?

A: My dad has always loved boats and we used to go to boat shows when I was little.

Q: What’s been your greatest sailing experience?

A: I am quite an adrenaline junkie so it has to be doing water skiing and tubing on one of the great lakes in Michigan. Being pulled by a speed boat at full chat jumping over the waves and wash at 30 knots certainly gets the blood flowing.

Q: Got any future sailing ambitions?

A: I would love to travel the around the Caribbean by boat one day, as I love the sea, swimming and diving. I would love to sail around the islands and pull into all the hard to reach quiet coves and go for a good swim and snorkel to view all the sea life in it’s most natural habitat then moor up in a nice little town for good spot of local cuisine and local beers before going to bed to repeat it all again the next day.

Q: Where would you say is the best place to have fun on the water? Canoeing in Kent? Banana-boating in Benidorm?

A: It has to be in the Mediterranean and pulling up to some nice diving locations to jump off cliffs into the water in Menorca.

Q: What’s your favourite boat-related film, book or song, and why?

A: Sittin’ by the dock of the bay by Otis Redding, true classic.

Q: And finally… what’s your favourite riverside pub?!

A: Any one that has a nice selection of spiced rum haha.
